FAQ

  • Why do we care?
We Care Because: The average production of plastics worldwide is well over 380 million metric tons a year. Of this, only 9% is recycled leading to a monumental 91% ending up in oceans and landfills harming both urban and delicate eco-systems around the world. The problem is too large to fix on our own but we at Primma are committed to being part of the solution in our own small way. Together with our supplier-partners and valued customers we aim to reprioritize our relationship with the health of the planet, reduce our reliance on plastics, highlight responsible materials and move towards an eco-friendly and sustainable future.
  • What is Bamboo Fibre?
Turning bamboo into bamboo fiber has a much lower environmental impact in processing than other types of fibers especially synthetic fibers. Bamboo fiber is made by turning natural bamboo stalks into powder mixing with natural binding agents and pressed into the product molds. The wonderful thing about powdering materials is that they keep all the properties of the original. So bamboo fiber keeps all the same benefits as natural bamboo. Bamboo fiber is durable, light-weight, anti-bacterial and has all the environmental benefits of bamboo.
  • What is Charcoal Cookware?
Bamboo Charcoal contains all the same environmental benefits as natural bamboo. It is highly renewable. It needs no replanting and can be harvested as soon as 3 years after planting. Using bamboo reduces our reliance on other woods that are procured from harmful industrial deforestation. To create our bamboo charcoal cookware, natural bamboo is burned and pulverized to create bamboo charcoal which is combined with natural fructose and then compression molded. The cookware is induction compatible despite having no heavy metal content. The most innovative features of bamboo charcoal are its unique abilities to activate far-infrared heating along with it’s more complete and efficient heating surface area. Through heating, infrared rays are released and the food is heated more quickly having the rays penetrate from all sides. The food is evenly heated and retains all its nutritional properties. Water boiled in the bamboo charcoal cookware activates the oxygen molecules in the water which accelerates the decomposition of some of the most common pesticides found in food. The bamboo charcoal cookware optimizes nutrition prioritizing the quality and health of both your meals and the planet.
