Bamboo: Bamboo is one of the fastest growing renewable resources on the planet. Unlike wood which needs 10-30 years to grow to a usable size, bamboo takes 3-5 years. Using bamboo shifts the global focus from logging and deforestation towards a more favorable and sustainable resource. Supporting the growing and use of bamboo is important as a single bamboo grove produces 30-35% more oxygen than an equivalent strand of trees. Bamboo is also extremely durable with stronger tensile strength than other hardwoods. Additionally, bamboo is hygienic with natural anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties.
Stainless Steel: Stainless steel is an eco-friendly material as its lifecycle is potentially endless. As long as it is recovered after each products life-cycle it can be remolded into something new. Steel is 100% recyclable and is easily recovered by magnetic separation.
